what is free fix heroes?
Free Fix Heroes connects Customers and FreeFix Recipients with quality licensed Professionals to help tackle the common household, automotive and bike problems that crop up.
HOW DOES SOMEONE BECOME A FREEFIX RECIPIENT AND WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?
We provide FreeFixes to those in need - the elderly not able to coordinate a fix themselves, someone having a financially difficult time and those physically not able due to illness or handicap. If you or someone you know is in need of our help please visit our FreeFix Request page and apply.
Is there a cost associated with a freefix?
No. Our Pros commit their time and provide the necessary parts to complete a fix for our FreeFix Recipients.
What type of freefixes are provided?
Our Pros are committed to prearranged FreeFixes. All other fixes outside of the these prearranged fixes will be cost based between the Recipient and Pro. Please see below for a complete list of the FreeFixes we provide. As we grow the list may change. We reserve the right to change or discontinue any of our specific fixes listed below.
- Auto (personal passenger vehicle): oil change, air filter change (if needed), check engine light diagnostic, battery test, flat repair, light bulb replacement.
- Appliances (residential consumer washer/dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/oven): Troubleshoot/diagnostic and repair.
- Bike: Tune-up, flat repair, brake pad replacement.
- Electrician (residential electric): Fuse related issues/troubleshoot, light switches and outlet receptacles troubleshoot.
- House Cleaning: General cleaning of the home up to one (1) hour only.
- HVAC (residential consumer furnace or air conditioner): Troubleshoot/diagnostic and repair.
- Landscaping (residential): Fence mending, removal and clean-up of overgrown and hazardous landscaping.
- Locksmith (residential and personal passenger vehicle): Lock-out, broken lock repair and troubleshoot.
- Plumbing (residential): Leak repair to faucet fixtures and under counter pipes, toilet leaks and flushing issues, emergency clogs.
How soon will a recipient know if a freefix is approved?
We will try our best to respond to all FreeFix requests within 1-2 business days. The actual approval for a FreeFix may vary dependent upon the availability of our Pros and the order in which we receive and assign the FreeFix. We anticipate an overwhelming response for FreeFixes and cannot guarantee we will be able to fulfill every request.
HOw often can a recipient request a freefix?
Due to the volume of requests we receive, we limit each Recipient or household up to one (1) FreeFix a year from the date of when the last FreeFix was provided or completed.
Are there guarantees of quality for freefixes?
FreeFixes are no different than any paid fix. Our Pros are qualified professionals in their trade. They are skilled, licensed and bonded. If any issues arise we encourage you to try to work matters out with the Pro directly. We will also try our best to provide a bridge for communication and concerns.
Can someone else apply on behalf of a Recipient?
Yes. Absolutely! If you've got a family member, friend, co-worker or neighbor you would like to help out we absolutely commend you for that. Maybe you've noticed a neighbor's home in disrepair or something poses a hazard we'd love to help with that. We do ask that you communicate your intentions with them and get their approval.
Are there membership fees or costs associated with joining the FReeFix Professional network?
No. You cannot buy your way into our network. Only way in is by putting your heart forward and committing to the prearranged FreeFixes.
Does Free fix heroes collect any commissions or a percentage of a completed job from a referral?
No. We do not collect any money from any paid job referrals we send to you. We ask that you stay committed to the prearranged FreeFixes. Our Pros provide repair estimates and make proposals with a Customer directly to complete a job. Any payment terms or monies associated with a job is solely between the Pro and Customer. This arrangement is exclusive between both parties. Free Fix Heroes does not dictate pricing or schedules for repairs and projects.
Is there a guarantee to the number of paid referrals Free fix heroes will send To a pro?
No. We cannot guarantee any specific number of referrals nor can we guarantee that any referrals we provide will result in a paid and completed job. Many factors will impact this, but not limited to, market demand, location, urgency, the schedules of our customers, cost of a repair or project or the acceptance/agreement by the Customers themselves.
WHat are the prerequisites in joining the free fix heroes professional network?
You must be kind and always shooting from the heart. You have to be dedicated and love what you do. We also need for you to have a legally registered company that is insured and bonded.
What Length of time does a pro need to commit to stay in the Free Fix Heroes network and provide freefixes?
We do not require any of our Pros to stay in our network for any fixed amount of time. A Pro may depart the network by notifying our team at: prosupport@freefixheroes.com.
Do pros provide all the labor and parts needed to complete a freefix?
Yes. It is expected that our Pros complete FreeFixes for our Recipients without any monetary compensation or reimbursement for the parts or labor required.
How long will it take for free fix heroes to provide and connect a customer with a Pro?
Depending on demand and the busy schedules of our Pros the time may vary between 1-2 business days. Please let us know if it's an emergency repair when you submit a request so we can prioritize.
Do our Pros cost more to hire to complete a repair or project?
Absolutely not. Our Pros charge typically what any service professional in their industry charge. The rates are typical of market rates. In fact, Free Fix Heroes does not collect any commission from our Pros so that results in them not marking up any of their fees to offset any commission owed. We do not collect commissions or fees from them.
ARE the work of the Pros guaranteed?
We vet our Pros to ensure they are who they say they are and that they are licensed and bonded. We connect paying Customers with our Pros. All scheduling, rates, estimates, actual repairs are to be arranged, coordinated and agreed upon between both parties. In the event there is a dispute, we will step in and try to address each party's concerns. Any legal dispute or action will be strictly between the Customer and Pro. Free Fix Heroes does not assume any legal liability or express any guarantee on the actions or work performed by our Pros. Any and all warranties and guarantees are solely expressed and provided by the Pro.
What geographical location(s) do we serve?
At this time we are piloting our services in the San Francisco Bay Area (SFBA) only. Our Pros operate and provide services in the nine (9) counties that make up the SF Bay Area. We are growing quickly and have plans for a broader reach. Please check back often for new announcements and updates.
